There’s something exciting about newness – a fresh start, untapped possibilities, a blank canvas for the imagination. Artistic Director Steven Phillips has chosen a rich slate of works that burst with a sense of newness.

Cantate Domino (Sing a New Song to the Lord) – a delicious Renaissance setting by Claudio Monteverdi.
Reveille – a tone painting by modern Russian composer Georgy Sviridov.
Cantata 140 (Sleepers, Wake!) – a beloved work from Bach’s most mature and masterful period.
Cantate Domino (Sing a New Song to the Lord) – the organic sound of Karl Jenkins, with hand percussion.
Two Settings of Robert Frost
The Pasture – a haunting invitation to explore, by Z. Randall Stroope.
The Road Not Taken – wistfully set by Randall Thompson.
Dirait-on – the tone poem by Morton Lauridsen that has become a modern classic.
Psalm 150 – calling all instruments to praise, by Romantic genius Cesar Franck.
The Road Home – the sweetest imaginable concert closer, by Stephen Paulus.

The concert is accompanied by chamber orchestra, with Marcus Ratzenboeck, concertmaster of The Venice Orchestra.
