Choral Scholars

Musica Sacra's Choral Scholars initiative is the newest element of its educational outreach.  The program made its debut with the 2018-2019 season.  The goal of the Choral Scholars initiative is to support aspiring singers ages 18-22 as they travel the course of musical education and exploration.  At least four Choral Scholars will be engaged each season.

Ideally, Choral Scholars are enrolled as undergraduate students at one of the region's many colleges and universities, with a concentration or major in music. Choral Scholars are remunerated positions, and are seen as more than mere apprentices or interns.  Each Choral Scholar is selected through open audition and must be proficient in sight reading ability as well as vocal flexibility.
